The Certified Medical Administrative Assistant Career Studies Certificate prepares individuals for multi-skilled, entry-level careers as a medical administrative assistant in a variety of health care settings including private medical practices, hospitals, clinics, public health departments, government agencies or insurance firms. Upon satisfactory completion of the program, the student is eligible to apply for national certification examinations.
This program is designed to provide a foundation of entry and mid-level healthcare administration knowledge and skills, and build on that foundation with additional concepts, knowledge, and skills related to the business office processes of a medical practice.
