Accounting (203) Associate of Applied Science Degree


Purpose: This degree is designed primarily for people who seek employment in the accounting field immediately upon completion of the community college program. Persons who are seeking their first employment in an accounting position and those presently in accounting who are seeking promotion may benefit from this program.

Educational or Occupational Objectives: You are just an associate degree away from an accounting job, this program will prepare you for your first job in the field or help you update your skills if you are already working in the accounting industry. The curriculum blends accounting concepts and skills with financial applications and accounting standards. Study payroll accounting, fraud examinations, computer applications and more. 

Program or Graduation Requirements: Students who receive a grade lower than “C” in any prerequisite accounting course will be required to repeat the course and earn a grade of “C” or higher.
