Purpose: This certificate program prepares students for certification as an Emergency Medical Technician and includes the foundational courses to prepare students to initiate study in the advanced life support/paramedic program.

Total Minimum Credits 9
1Students will complete American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider certifications during the first week of enrollment in the EMS 111 course. Students who successfully complete the BLS certification and the EMS 111 course can receive advanced standing credit for this certification.
2EMS 120 must be taken concurrently with EMS 111 .
