PHY 141 - Astronomy I (4 credits) Studies the major and minor bodies of the solar system, stars and nebulae of the Milky Way, and extragalactic objects. Examines life and death of stars, origin of the universe, history of astronomy, and instruments and techniques of observation.
Industry Credential Opportunity: Courses are cross-listed with NAS 131 -NAS 132 , credit will not be awarded for both.
Prerequisite(s): ENF 1 or ENF 2 as demonstrated through the placement and diagnostics tests or equivalent.
Lecture: 3 hours Lab: Recitation and lab 3 hours Total: 6 hours per week
