MAR 211 - Naval Architecture I (3 Credits) Presents the statics of ship design. Studies the hull of the ship in regard to its intact and damaged stability, including special treatment of weight calculations and damage control. Includes the design of the hull structure, longitudinal and transverse strength properties of the hull girder foundation, design and ship hull materials.
Prerequisite(s): ENF 1 or ENF 2 as demonstrated through the placement and diagnostics tests or equivalent.
Lecture: 3 hours per week
