HLT 156 - Health Care for Athletic Injuries

(3 credits) Teaches prevention and care of athletic injuries, recognition and management of head and spinal injuries, fractures, strains, sprains, as well as cardiac emergencies. Discusses taping, protective equipment, and medical referral.

Prerequisite(s): ENF 1 if required by placement and diagnostic tests.

Lecture: 3 hours per week
