ELE 238 - Control Circuits (3 credits) Deals with the principles and applications of electrical controllers which serve as an introduction to automation devices for differentiation, integration, and proportioning. Includes hardware and circuitry for AC and DC control devices, as well as contractors, starters, speed controllers, time delays, limit switches, and pilot devices. Demonstrates applications in the control of industrial equipment motors, servo units, and motor-driven actuators.
Prerequisite(s): ETR 225 or ETR 114 .
Lecture: 2 hours Lab: 3 hours Total: 5 hours per week
