NSG 130 - Professional Nursing Concepts

(1 credit) Introduces the role of the professional nurse and fundamental concepts in professional development. Focuses on professional identity, legal/ethical issues and contemporary trends in professional nursing. An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $50.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $25.00 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only.

Prerequisite(s): BIO 141 , ENG 111 , MTH 154 , PSY 230 , SDV 100  OR SDV 101 , and acceptance in the AAS Nursing program. Corequisite(s): BIO 142 ,  NSG 100 , NSG 106 , and NSG 200 .
