MTH 158 - College Algebra ♦
(3 credits) Students are required to have a graphing calculator for this course. The TI-83 Plus or TI-84 Plus is recommended. Covers the structure of the complex number system, polynomials, rational expressions, graphing, systems of equations and inequalities, functions, quadratic and rational equations and inequalities.
Prerequisite(s): Competency in Math Essentials units 1-9 as demonstrated through the placement and diagnostic tests, or by satisfactorily completing the required Math Essentials units or equivalent.
Lecture: 3 hours per week
