NAS 131 - Astronomy I (4 credits) Studies the major and minor bodies of the solar system, stars and nebulae of the Milky Way, and extragalactic objects. Examines life and death of stars, origin of the universe, history of astronomy, and instruments and techniques of observation.
Prerequisite(s): Student must be eligible for ENG 111 or ENG 111 /EDE 11
Lecture: 3 hours Lab: Recitation and lab 3 hours Total: 6 hours per week
