CSC 200 - Introduction to Computer Science
(3 credits) Provides a broad introduction to computer science. Discusses architecture and function of computer hardware, including networks and operating systems, data and instruction representation and data organization. Covers software, algorithms, programming languages, and software engineering. Discusses artificial intelligence and theory of computation. Includes a hands-on component.
Prerequisite(s): Keyboarding and one unit of high school algebra or equivalent. Student must be eligible for ENG 111 or ENG 111 /EDE 11
Lecture: 3 hours per week
